C++ Software Engineer (4-7 years experience)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, creating equipment essential for semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The C++ Software Engineer will design, prototype and develop software for semiconductor equipment components, contributing to AI‑driven technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and develop moderately complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
• Create common software modules and libraries used across multiple products.
• Develop software documentation and test procedures.
• Troubleshoot moderately difficult software problems and implement bug fixes.
• Communicate with internal and external customers for requirement analysis, project scheduling and software troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, software/system engineering, cyber security or mathematics.
• 4–7 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in C++, operating systems, networking principles, algorithms and multi‑threading.
• Strong conceptual knowledge of software engineering and a willingness to expand capabilities.
