C++ Engineer – Semiconductor Software Development

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a C++ Engineer to design, prototype and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices. The role involves creating reusable software modules, documenting code, and collaborating with internal and external customers to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and develop moderately complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment.
• Create common software modules and libraries used across multiple products.
• Develop software documentation and test procedures.
• Troubleshoot and fix moderately difficult software problems.
• Communicate with customers for requirement analysis, project scheduling, and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong conceptual knowledge of software engineering and industry business drivers.
