Buyer – APAC Supply Planning

About the role

Join the APAC Supply Planning team at Armstrong Fluid Technology, where you will manage supply planning and material demand execution with suppliers across India. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure continuity of supply while balancing cost and working capital objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute material demand with Armstrong suppliers across India and develop supply plans to support global plant production.
• Monitor supply‑demand imbalances and recommend corrective actions such as expediting, rescheduling or reallocating stock.
• Define and optimise supplier min‑max levels, set up system alerts in Kinaxis and adjust reorder points based on consumption trends.
• Manage consignment stock, reconcile ageing and drive process improvements for visibility and cost efficiency.
• Conduct material risk analysis, maintain a risk dashboard and implement mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
• Identify and lead digital transformation initiatives, automate dashboards and reporting to enable data‑driven planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in global or regional supply planning within a manufacturing environment, including handling build‑to‑print suppliers in casting, machining and fabrication.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with a manufacturing ERP such as Infor LN, SAP or Oracle.
• Experience using Kinaxis Rapid Response (or similar advanced supply planning systems).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel (including macros) and Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
