About the role

The Business Support Specialist I joins Monotype's Royalty Operations team in Noida, acting as a bridge between vendors, internal support teams, and the Foundry. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on exposure to royalty systems, data flows, and vendor support, building a foundation for growth within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for vendor and Foundry queries beyond first‑line support, researching and resolving issues related to royalty statements, calculations, and data anomalies.
• Monitor critical jobs, interfaces, and data flows; investigate system or data quality issues that affect vendor reporting.
• Log and track incidents in Jira, providing clear business context, impact, and status.
• Partner with Business Systems/IT to define requirements for fixes, participate in testing, and provide feedback on usability.
• Perform pre‑close and close‑critical checks on data and system runs, supporting triage of incidents during close cycles.
• Own the help‑desk queue, triage incoming questions, and maintain a knowledge base for common L1 and L2 issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in customer support, help desk, business operations, or shared‑services environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to trace root causes and communicate findings clearly.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ticketing/help‑desk systems such as Jira (experience with ServiceNow or Zendesk is a plus).
• Understanding of system and data flows affecting vendor‑facing outputs.
