Business Partnerships – Insurance

About the role

The role focuses on building and enhancing strategic relationships with insurance providers to expand Paytm’s insurance portfolio and revenue. You will be responsible for negotiating commercial terms, monitoring partner performance, and driving joint product initiatives. The position works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with regulatory standards. Paytm, India’s largest payment super app, aims to drive financial inclusion by offering a wide range of financial services in partnership with institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen strategic partnerships with insurance companies to drive business growth and profitability.
• Lead commercial discussions on commissions, pricing, product offerings, and exclusive partnership opportunities.
• Monitor insurer performance, identify growth opportunities, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with insurers on product development, integrations, and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Partner closely with Product, Technology, Sales, and Marketing teams to execute business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, partnership agreements, and internal governance standards.
• Prepare business reviews and present partnership performance, insights, and recommendations to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor/MBA or equivalent qualification from a reputable institution.
• 2‑3 years of experience in insurance partnership management, business development, or product management within the health insurance domain.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Indian insurance market and IRDAI regulatory environment.
