Business & Operations Controller

About the role

As a Finance Specialist, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and R&D to transform financial and operational data into actionable insights. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Finance Director, you will own revenue and margin analysis, budgeting, product costing, inventory accounting and capital expenditure management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse revenue, margins and profitability by business segment and growth area.
• Monitor performance against budget and forecast, prepare management reports and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with receivables and credit teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Lead monthly product costing and inventory accounting, including weighted‑average costing, valuation, provisions and reconciliations.
• Analyse manufacturing, warehouse, transportation and other operating costs, investigate variances and propose efficiency actions.
• Manage capital expenditure: review investment proposals, track project spend, ensure proper capitalisation and reporting.
• Maintain reliable financial data in ERP and BI systems, govern sales‑incentive calculations and support audits.
• Drive process improvements to strengthen controls, reporting quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance or related discipline; CA/CMA qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing finance, costing, audit or financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Proactive, initiative‑taking attitude with a focus on commercial impact.
