Business Head – Mutual Funds & NFO

About the role

Paytm Money is seeking a strategic Business Head to own and grow its Mutual Funds and New Fund Offer (NFO) business. The leader will drive end‑to‑end P&L, shape product strategy, expand partnerships, and accelerate customer acquisition across a full suite of mutual fund products.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete P&L for Mutual Funds and NFO, defining annual and long‑term growth strategies.
• Build and execute a category growth roadmap covering equity, debt, hybrid, index funds, ETFs, international and thematic funds.
• Lead NFO strategy, identify high‑potential launches, and drive subscription volumes through exclusive AMC campaigns.
• Scale investor acquisition, improve SIP activation, repeat investment behavior and retention.
• Partner with product and engineering to launch innovative experiences such as goal‑based journeys, recommendation engines and smart asset allocation tools.
• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with asset management companies, registrars, market infrastructure partners and the broader distribution ecosystem.
• Own analytics on AUM growth, SIP book expansion, NFO conversion, redemption trends and cohort behavior to inform acquisition and monetisation strategies.
• Track market intelligence, regulatory changes and competitor innovations to translate insights into business opportunities.
• Build and lead high‑performing cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of speed, ownership and customer obsession.

Required profile

• 12–18 years of experience in wealth‑tech, broking, mutual fund distribution, asset management or consumer fintech.
• Deep understanding of the mutual fund ecosystem, SIP behavior, NFO lifecycle, distribution economics and retail investor acquisition.
• Strong business ownership mindset with proven P&L management, strategic thinking and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive execution excellence in a fast‑moving environment.
