Business Finance Controller

About the role

The Business Finance Controller will partner directly with the Managing Director to drive strategic and commercial decisions for a fast‑growing manufacturing business. This senior finance partner will own the full FP&A agenda, from budgeting and forecasting to performance analysis and decision‑support modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Own MIS, budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting and variance analysis.
• Develop product‑wise, customer‑wise and business‑unit profitability models.
• Drive product costing, pricing, margin analysis and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Partner with manufacturing on BOM costing, inventory, yield, productivity and factory economics.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and treasury requirements.
• Review commercial contracts, customer credit and payment terms.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and management reporting.
• Build dashboards and financial models to support senior‑leadership decisions.
• Support capex evaluation, new‑plant set‑up and business‑expansion projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8‑17 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in FP&A, MIS, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing finance, product costing and inventory control.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, working capital and cash‑flow planning.
• Commercially oriented and comfortable partnering with operations, sales and supply‑chain leaders.
• Hands‑on, agile and able to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
