Business Development Manager

About the role

KaroStartup is seeking a Business Development Manager to be the first point of contact for founders and companies that engage with its content. You will explore how the platform can add value to their stories, podcasts, or partnership needs.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leads from founders and companies across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand each business, its story, and objectives.
• Identify appropriate KaroStartup offerings – feature articles, podcast slots, or broader partnerships – tailored to each prospect.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings between interested parties and the internal KaroStartup team.
• Maintain an organized pipeline tracking contact status, conversation outcomes, and next steps.
• Represent KaroStartup’s tone and values in every interaction, staying professional and genuinely curious.
• Collaborate with content and outreach teams to hand off qualified leads for story development or partnership execution.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with founders and business owners.
• Genuine curiosity about how different businesses operate.
• Prior experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or client‑facing roles is a plus, but attitude matters most.
• Good judgment in qualifying leads and prioritising conversations.
