Business Development Lead - North

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is looking for a Business Development Lead for the North region to drive the company’s real‑estate strategy across Northern India. Based in Gurgaon, you will lead new store openings, relocations, upsizing and renovation projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective roll‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate properties aligned with strategic growth plans, conducting market research and feasibility studies.
• Negotiate leases and rental agreements with owners and developers, managing contractual and regulatory approvals.
• Track and report KPIs such as ROI, rent‑to‑revenue ratios and time‑to‑launch for new locations.
• Build and maintain a network of local brokers, landlords and informal market sources.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, design and legal teams to coordinate store development.
• Monitor competitor activity and market saturation to inform expansion strategies.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate education.
• 10+ years of experience in business development, preferably in apparel or retail.
• Proven track record managing large geographies and multiple simultaneous projects in Northern India.
• Strong market knowledge of rental rates and retail site selection.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
