Business Development Executive – Retail (Indore)

About the role

McCain is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive retail sales growth across Traditional Trade, Modern Trade and E‑commerce channels in Indore. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, and ensuring product availability and visibility in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for distributors and TSI’s.
• Set, monitor and adjust sales targets, projections and mid‑course corrections.
• Identify and appoint new distributors, plan market potential and allocate ISR’s.
• Develop and execute secondary sales plans by area, distributor, brand and SKU.
• Conduct monthly JCM reviews and area performance analysis.
• Implement distribution plans, ensure category availability, visibility and stock rotation.
• Train distributors on DMS systems, monitor compliance, credit terms and financial health.
• Support micro‑marketing and consumer activation initiatives.
• Track competition and provide inputs to the ASM.

Required profile

• 2‑7 years of experience in retail (TT, MT & E‑com) within the FMCG industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and extract business insights.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proven experience in business planning, sales target setting and stock planning.
• Experience in distributor management, financial oversight and ROI evaluation.
