Business Controller

About the role

The Business Controller will join KONE India's Business Controlling & Analytics team, supporting business performance through financial insight, reporting and forecasting. You will partner with business leaders to ensure KPI relevance, policy compliance and delivery of benefit realizations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and analyse monthly and YTD orders, sales and margins.
• Facilitate planning, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Calculate and update labour and burden rates for tendering and order booking.
• Monitor order and revenue recognition compliance through sample checks.
• Develop and track KPIs related to order booking, cost overruns and project profitability.
• Support CORE simplification projects and monitor slow‑moving or non‑moving projects.
• Coordinate market trend analysis, cancellation processes and provision recognition.
• Provide commercial and financial insights for major project tenders, cash‑flow forecasts and risk scenarios.
• Partner with business leaders to align priorities and drive actionable decisions.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of industrial finance experience, including cost planning, profitability analysis and financial modelling.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ICWA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities with stakeholder‑management experience.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and travel within and outside India.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• SAP ERP (or similar) and Business Intelligence tools.
• Automation and IT tool proficiency.
