Business Controller

About the role

KONE India is entering a rapid growth phase and seeks a Business Controller to join its Business Controlling & Analytics team. The role supports business performance by providing financial insights, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving KPI‑based decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and analyse monthly and year‑to‑date operating results, sales and CMI.
• Facilitate planning, forecasting and budgeting processes with business leaders.
• Calculate and update labour and burden rates for tendering and order booking.
• Monitor revenue and cost recognition compliance, including order and revenue recognition policies.
• Develop and track KPIs for project profitability, cost overruns and process efficiency.
• Support CORE simplification projects and monitor slow‑moving or non‑moving projects.
• Coordinate market estimates, project cancellations and provision recognitions.
• Provide profitability analysis for completed projects and advise on tendering, cash‑flow forecasts, risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of industrial finance experience, preferably in cost planning, profitability analysis and financial modelling.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ICWA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to build trust across a matrix organisation.
• Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural environment.
