Business Analyst – Regulatory Reporting

About the role

Capco is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join its CMT Trade Reporting team in Mumbai. You will work on regulatory change projects such as SFTR, HKMA, MiFID, EMIR and CFTC, translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end analysis for regulatory change initiatives and internal strategic architecture implementations.
• Collaborate with front‑office, compliance, asset‑class managers and technology teams to elicit requirements and design optimal business processes.
• Produce detailed business requirements for trade and transaction reporting to global data repositories (e.g., DTCC, Unavista, US SEC).
• Support test case generation, defect analysis and ensure solutions meet audit and regulator expectations.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to assess risks, define controls and ensure sustainable operational ownership.

Required profile

• 7‑14 years of experience in regulatory trade reporting or related financial services consulting.
• Strong business writing, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Experience acting as a conduit between business and technology teams, producing both business and functional requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and product‑based planning.
