Business Analyst – Digital Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to partner with business and technology teams to drive digital transformation, process automation, and enterprise application enhancements for Deloitte South Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements and define functional solutions.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents, functional specifications, user stories, business rules, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing processes, identify automation opportunities and recommend scalable technology solutions.
• Perform impact analysis, solution walkthroughs, requirement prioritisation and obtain stakeholder sign‑offs.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA and business users throughout the SDLC to ensure successful delivery.
• Define and document integration requirements across enterprise applications, APIs and workflow platforms.
• Support UAT planning, defect triaging, production deployments and post‑implementation validation.
• Drive AI‑enabled initiatives by identifying use cases, documenting AI‑specific requirements and ensuring compliance with AI governance and responsible AI principles.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities with experience translating business problems into technology solutions.
• Proven experience across the full project lifecycle from requirement elicitation to implementation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams in Agile, Scrum or Waterfall environments.

• Business analysis and requirement gathering (BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria).
• Process mapping (As‑Is/To‑Be) and business process re‑engineering.
• API and enterprise system integration.
• Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Functional testing and UAT.
• Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• AI/Generative AI concepts, AI use‑case identification, prompt engineering and responsible AI governance.
• Workflow automation tools (RPA, Power Automate).
• Basic SQL and data analysis.
• Visio, Draw.io, BPMN diagramming.
