Business Analyst – Assistant Manager – Lending

About the role

We are seeking a data‑driven Collections & Analytics Specialist with 2+ years of experience to manage daily business‑as‑usual (BAU) operations, MIS reporting, and analytical strategy development. In this role you will bridge raw collections data and high‑impact strategy, optimizing resource allocation, automating reporting workflows, and applying predictive segmentation to improve recovery rates and minimise credit losses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily portfolio allocations to internal collection teams, telecallers, field agents and external agencies.
• Create, maintain and publish daily, weekly and monthly MIS dashboards and executive presentation decks.
• Monitor daily run rates across FTEs, telecalling, field teams and agencies to track resolution progress.
• Enhance existing reports, develop new tracking tools and automate manual data workflows.
• Perform behavioral customer segmentation and use statistical/predictive modelling to tailor recovery strategies.
• Design and execute champion‑challenger tests with cost‑benefit analyses to scale high‑performing tactics.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in Collections BAU, MIS reporting or Collections Analytics within banking, NBFC or fintech.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau; familiarity with R, Python or SAS is a plus.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, ability to handle large structured and unstructured data sets and build financial models.
