Branch Manager – Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Gold Loans will lead the Bhagalpur branch of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, driving loan disbursement, customer acquisition and portfolio quality. The role combines business development, compliance oversight and team leadership to achieve the branch’s financial targets while delivering a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve branch‑level KPIs including loan disbursement, new customer acquisition, yield, collections and risk metrics.
• Build and nurture relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers to expand the branch’s customer base.
• Lead, coach and evaluate branch staff – Assistant Branch Manager, Gold Valuer, Gold Loan Officer and Customer Service Executives.
• Ensure accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV limits and complete documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Monitor portfolio performance – delinquencies, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious cases – and take corrective actions.
• Maintain strict compliance with RBI guidelines, internal policies, purity testing procedures and audit standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch management or gold‑loan operations within an NBFC or banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations, gold valuation processes and loan structuring norms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a frontline team and manage performance.
• Analytical mindset with solid risk‑assessment and portfolio‑monitoring capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and stakeholder engagement.
