Branch Cashier – Full‑time Banking Role

About the role

The Branch Cashier is responsible for all cash‑related transactions and operations at the bank branch, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports smooth daily cash flow, customer service and accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and maintain related system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash and asset registers; submit requisition forms to the regional office.
• Perform daily cash tally, end‑of‑day reconciliation and prepare branch cash reports.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Provide courteous customer service, address queries, promote bank products and guide customers to alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to transaction turnaround times, regulatory compliance and bank policies.
