BIM Technician - Electrical

About the role

Prepare MEP 3D BIM coordinated models, perform clash detection and resolution, create parametric BIM families and provide specialist support to design teams for analysis and design models.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualisations.
• Support design and bid teams with the creation of 4D models/visualisations.
• Prepare quantities for use in Bills of Quantities (BoQs) from the 3D model.

Required profile

• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with senior colleagues.
• Computer literate with strong Windows, word‑processing, spreadsheet, email and database skills.
• Valid passport and willingness to be seconded up to three months to the UK.
• Ability to plan, manage workload and think laterally.
• Understanding of personal and software limitations.
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) together with draughting qualifications.
• 5+ years of production experience in design, drafting and engineering in a similar role.

• AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
• Navisworks.
• Autodesk 3ds MAX (desirable).
• Microsoft Excel (desirable).
• Microsoft Word (desirable).
