Billing Accountant

About the role

The Billing Accountant will manage the complete billing cycle for OB Khakra, a fast‑growing healthy snacks brand. You will ensure every sales order is accurately invoiced, tracked, and collected, supporting the company’s cash flow and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve daily orders from the Field Assist sales force automation system and verify SKU, quantity, pricing, and schemes.
• Generate GST‑compliant invoices on time, matching approved price lists and trade schemes.
• Hand over printed invoices to delivery vehicles and sales representatives before dispatch, ensuring no order leaves without a bill.
• Maintain a daily ledger of advance versus credit orders and track payments due from each salesman or outlet.
• Follow up with sales staff for credit collection, send payment reminders, and flag overdue accounts.
• Reconcile bills, collections, and bank deposits daily, reporting any discrepancies to the Accounts Manager.
• Maintain both soft and hard copies of invoices, ledgers, and payment receipts for compliance.
• Resolve billing disputes and coordinate with area sales managers for rate approvals or adjustments.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of billing or accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, food, or beverages.
• B.Com or M.Com preferred; additional accounting certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, zero‑error mindset, and ability to work quickly.
• Excellent follow‑up skills and comfortable contacting sales staff daily for payment updates.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Field Assist or similar SFA tools.
• Proficiency in Tally and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of GST billing, debit/credit notes, and basic accounting principles.
