Bid & Design Associate

About the role

The Bid & Design Associate supports the sales team by creating design specifications, floor‑plan layouts and cost estimates for tender bids. You will work closely with internal factories, third‑party suppliers and remote market managers to ensure accurate, timely proposals for commercial office furniture projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to interpret tender requirements and expectations.
• Develop typical system configurations, floor‑plan drawings and detailed specifications.
• Generate bills of quantities, product strategies and pricing for both standard and non‑standard items.
• Liaise with Haworth factories and external suppliers to source custom solutions.
• Prepare and submit tender documents, presentations and rendering assets on schedule.
• Maintain an organized archive of drawings, quotations and project files.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports for the Business Review Committee.
• Coach junior associates or interns on specification tools, drawing systems and tender preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma (BE5) in a relevant field.
• 5‑12 years of corporate experience, with at least 5 years in commercial/office furniture.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
