Bank Cashier (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for handling all cash‑related transactions at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the smooth operation of the branch by managing cash flow, customer interactions, and accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and update system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty cash, and asset registers; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, end‑of‑day reconciliation, and prepare branch cash reports.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys, and valuables with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Provide courteous customer service, address queries, and promote bank products.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance, and internal policies for all cashier operations.
