Bank Cashier – Branch Operations

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join our branch banking team. The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and ensuring accurate record‑keeping in line with internal and external banking guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash transactions, including receipt and disbursement of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and cash withdrawals within authorized limits.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and maintain corresponding system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash and asset registers, and prepare requisition forms for the regional head office.
• Perform daily cash tally, end‑of‑day reconciliation and report results in the Branch End‑of‑Day report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys and valuables with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer queries, explain repayment dates and promote bank products.
• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, internal policies and defined turnaround times for transactions.
• Validate customer identity during cash withdrawals and verify cash deposit slips for audit purposes.
