Backup Administration – File Transfer & Backup Engineer

About the role

The Backup Administration role supports managed file transfer (MFT) services and enterprise backup operations for a leading technology services organization in Gurugram. You will act as a bridge between Level‑2 and Level‑3 support, handling moderately complex incidents, performing routine platform administration, and executing operational changes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced operational support for MFT services (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) and backup solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, escalating to Level‑3 when necessary.
• Perform routine administration tasks and implement operational changes on backup platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure proper firewall rules and network configurations.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years of experience in file transfer or backup operations.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux file systems and permissions.
• Basic networking knowledge, including FTP ports and firewall considerations.
• Ability to work onsite in Gurugram and attend a walk‑in interview on 18 July 2025.
