Backend Software Engineer (US Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our international team and work on high‑quality, scalable applications that power our compliance and digital solutions. The position follows a US shift (3 PM – 12 AM IST) and focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications.
• Implement technical product requirements and enhance existing systems.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability throughout the software lifecycle.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues; monitor system performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and operations to deliver high‑quality products.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Build and manage services using client‑server architectures and integrate with databases and APIs.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience as a backend developer.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, engineering‑driven culture.

Required skills

• Backend programming with Python or Ruby.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
