Backend / Full Stack Developer (Python, Node.js, React, AWS)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Backend / Full Stack Developer to join its Chennai team. You will design, develop and maintain cloud‑native applications using Python, Node.js and React, delivering high‑impact digital solutions for a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services with Python and Node.js.
• Build responsive front‑end interfaces using React.js.
• Design, implement and operate scalable solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
• Create and document RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver high‑quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Ensure application security, reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Python and Node.js.
• Proficiency with React.js for front‑end development.
• Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience building REST APIs and micro‑services architectures.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Good understanding of Git version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
