Backend Engineer – Up to 35 LPA

About the role

We are hiring a Backend Engineer for a fast‑growing VC‑backed Food and Agriculture Tech startup that has raised $263M. You will design, build, and scale core backend systems that power a nationwide retail platform. The role offers a compensation package of up to 35 LPA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement scalable micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Debug production issues and improve system stability.
• Work with relational databases, write optimized queries, and ensure performance.
• Contribute to code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and basic backend architecture.
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git version‑control workflows.
• Solid grasp of basic data structures and algorithms.
