Backend Engineer

About the role

At Coram AI we are reimagining video security with a cloud‑native platform that uses computer vision and AI. You will join an ambitious, fast‑moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact, designing and maintaining core backend services that drive data flows, reliability, and performance across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs, databases, and data pipelines.
• Ensure the system scales with growing traffic, provides full observability, and reduces cost.
• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for feature delivery, maintain high SLA, and debug issues.
• Support broader front‑end, edge‑computing, and ML teams.

Required profile

• Experience building systems of reasonable scale.
• Familiarity with Go or Python.
• Proven ability to design, implement, debug, scale, and optimise APIs, databases, and pipelines to multi‑TB scale.
• Strong communication in English and ability to work with distributed teams across time zones.
