Back End Software Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a Back End Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the server‑side components of our web applications. The role involves close collaboration with front‑end developers, product managers and customers to deliver high‑performance, reliable services that support Schlumberger’s operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server‑side logic, APIs and database schemas.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness for front‑end requests.
- Integrate user‑facing elements created by front‑end teams with back‑end services.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation and support to developers and stakeholders.
- Build prototypes and reusable components that meet quality standards.
Required profile
- Experience working semi‑autonomously within a cross‑functional team.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to prototype rapidly.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with front‑end developers, product managers and customers.
