Back End Developer – SaaS Cybersecurity Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Developer to join Astra’s AI‑driven cybersecurity platform. You will help build and maintain the core services that power our pentesting and vulnerability‑scanning solutions for global enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable backend services, APIs and distributed systems that support the platform’s core functionality.
• Own features from technical design through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, efficient database schemas and optimized queries for high performance.
• Implement reliable asynchronous workflows using queues, events and background processing.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps and QA to deliver high‑quality features.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering standards and contribute to best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience developing backend applications in a product‑based or SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles and clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and ship production‑ready code frequently.

Required skills

• Experience with building RESTful APIs and distributed services.
• Proficiency in designing database schemas and optimizing queries.
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing patterns such as queues and event‑driven architectures.
