Azure Linux Admin

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Azure Linux Administrator to join its Hyderabad team. The role involves 24x7 support of Linux servers in a public‑cloud environment, focusing on stability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle L2 and L3 incidents on Linux servers and ensure SLA compliance.
• Install, upgrade and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x on physical and virtual platforms.
• Automate routine tasks using Bash and Ansible scripts.
• Configure and manage LVM, Samba, NFS, NTP, Centrify and proxy services.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, manage incidents, problems and change requests.
• Support new and existing applications in the public cloud, including VM provisioning and security hardening.
• Perform backup, restoration and disaster‑recovery drills for applications and databases.
• Manage cloud assets, resources and third‑party tools.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Linux, virtualization and cloud environments.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 support model.
• Familiarity with Azure native tools for OS patching and configuration is a plus.
