Azure Infrastructure Consultant (VM Migration & Lift & Shift)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH and the largest software development centre of Bosch outside Germany, is looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Consultant. The role supports the migration of on-premises workloads to Microsoft Azure, with a focus on VM migration and Lift & Shift strategies, ensuring performance, security and reliability with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end migration of on-premises virtual machines to Azure, including Lift & Shift (Rehost) migrations using Azure Migrate
• Assess current infrastructure and recommend migration strategies
• Configure and manage Azure VMs, storage and networking, and set up replication and disaster recovery with Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
• Design networks (VNet, NSG, Load Balancers) and connect on-premises to Azure via Site-to-Site VPN and Azure ExpressRoute
• Validate, test and tune workloads after migration, monitor them with Azure tools and optimise resource use
• Set up backup and recovery, troubleshoot migration issues and work with application and infrastructure teams

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with 6+ years focused on Azure
• Proven track record of VM migration and Lift & Shift projects
• Education: BE, BTech, BCA, BSc (IT), MCA, MBA (IT) or MSc (IT)
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305); other relevant certifications strongly preferred
