Automation Technical Lead

About the role

As an Automation Technical Lead you will define and drive the automation strategy, framework architecture, and quality engineering standards for a modern micro‑services ecosystem. You will enable high‑quality software delivery across component, integration, API and end‑to‑end testing layers while mentoring teams on AI‑assisted automation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own automation testing strategy for micro‑services platforms.
• Establish automation standards, governance models and quality engineering guidelines.
• Design and evolve reusable automation frameworks covering component, integration, API and end‑to‑end testing.
• Drive framework standardisation, scalability and maintainability across multiple product teams.
• Mentor engineering teams on AI‑assisted automation tools and promote AI‑driven test optimisation.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps and platform engineering to improve testability and automation readiness.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software quality engineering and test automation experience.
• At least 3 years leading enterprise‑scale automation initiatives.
• Proven track record defining automation architecture and enterprise frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of component, integration, API and end‑to‑end testing for micro‑services.
• Experience with CI/CD, continuous testing, DevOps and shift‑left quality practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, IT or related field.
