Automation & Development Manager

About the role

The Automation & Development Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of developers, automation engineers, and business analysts to build automation capabilities that improve service reliability, reduce manual effort, and accelerate incident resolution. The role owns the automation roadmap from discovery through delivery and partners with clients, operations, and platform owners to turn operational pain points into scalable, reusable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish team goals, priorities, and delivery roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing multidisciplinary team.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of automation initiatives from design to value realization.
• Design and implement scalable, reusable automation frameworks and enforce governance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of ITSM platforms and workflows.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and build implementation roadmaps.
• Present automation outcomes, business benefits, and ROI to leadership.

Required profile

• 12+ years in IT Operations, Managed Services, or Automation/Engineering.
• 8+ years leading automation or development teams in Agile environments.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or .NET.

• Automation platforms: UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere.
• IaC/DevOps tools: Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
