Auditor – HACT Internal Audit for UN Projects

About the role

Singhi & Co. is seeking an Auditor to lead end‑to‑end audits of UN‑funded and development sector projects. The position is based in Delhi and focuses on HACT‑compliant procedures, internal control reviews, and donor‑guideline compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule audit engagements for UN and development projects.
• Conduct fieldwork, test internal controls, and review financial and operational records.
• Prepare detailed working papers and draft audit reports with clear observations and recommendations.
• Engage with client management and donor representatives to discuss findings.
• Support risk assessments, suggest process improvements, and ensure timely delivery of audit assignments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control testing, preferably with HACT and UN audit frameworks.
• Experience in financial auditing, documentation review, and compliance checks for donor‑funded projects.
• Ability to analyse data, interpret regulations, and produce concise audit reports.
• Solid understanding of accounting and assurance principles; familiarity with IFRS/Ind AS is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CIA, CMA preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and uphold high ethical standards.
• Prior exposure to UN agencies, NGOs, or multilateral organisations is a plus.
