Audit Executive

About the role

The Audit Executive will join D P Sarda & Co’s audit team in Nagpur, supporting both statutory and internal audit engagements for a diverse client base. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior auditors, develop technical expertise, and contribute to high‑quality audit deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, fieldwork and completion of statutory and internal audits.
• Review financial records, ledgers and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and analyse audit reports, highlighting findings and recommendations.
• Verify adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations and GST compliance.
• Perform variance and trend analyses to identify control gaps and process improvements.
• Collaborate with senior team members and communicate audit findings to clients.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments in line with firm quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of audit processes and ability to prepare and interpret audit reports.
• Solid analytical skills for evaluating financial data and identifying discrepancies.
• Understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations and practical experience with GST filings.
• Foundational knowledge of finance and experience working with financial statements.
• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field; CA/CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Nagpur, manage deadlines and handle multiple assignments with integrity.
