About the role

NCheng LLP is seeking an Audit Associate to join its growing audit team. The role focuses on maintaining financial integrity for a diverse client base that includes non‑profits, healthcare institutions, and housing developers. You will work closely with clients to identify risks, recommend improvements, and support transparent financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning financial audits, defining objectives, scope, and timelines.
• Evaluate client financial and operational risks to shape the audit approach.
• Execute audits in line with applicable standards and regulations.
• Review financial statements, transactions, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial data, perform substantive testing, and identify discrepancies.
• Utilize audit software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assess internal control systems and suggest improvements for risk management.
• Maintain organized audit work papers for each engagement.
• Prepare concise audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business processes.
• Support staff mentoring, business development, and recruitment efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + years of experience in auditing or related financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
