Associate – Tax & Regulatory Advisory

About the role

VJM GLOBAL is seeking an Associate for its Tax & Regulatory Advisory practice in Noida. The role combines technical research, client advisory, and coordination across Indian taxation, FEMA/RBI matters and international tax. You will support senior managers while reviewing work of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review GST returns, ITC reconciliations, audits, refunds and litigation support.
• Handle Income Tax and TDS computations, reconciliations, returns, advance tax and notice responses.
• Assist with FEMA & RBI cross‑border regulatory matters such as FDI, ODI and ECB.
• Conduct international tax research and advisory on CIT, VAT, withholding tax and cross‑border transactions.
• Draft technical notes, client communications and submissions, and review deliverables prepared by trainees.
• Coordinate client information, manage timelines and follow‑up on assignments.
• Utilise accounting and ERP tools including Tally, Zoho Books, NetSuite, Xero and QuickBooks.

Required profile

• Strong conceptual understanding of taxation and regulatory matters.
• Analytical and research capabilities with attention to detail.
• Good technical drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to review work and guide junior team members.
• Motivation to meet deadlines and take ownership of assignments.
