Associate Specialist - Banking Operations

About the role

The Associate Specialist – Banking Operations supports global banking activities for 3M, ensuring effective management of bank accounts across multiple regions. The role involves handling account lifecycle tasks, KYC documentation, and coordination with banking partners while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bank account lifecycle activities, including openings, closures, modifications, and ongoing maintenance.
• Coordinate signatory management, KYC documentation, mandates, and legal entity updates.
• Liaise with banking partners for account administration and service‑related requests.
• Maintain banking documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Support periodic bank audits, compliance reviews, and control assessments.
• Administer banking portals, treasury management systems (TMS), SWIFT connectivity, and payment platforms.
• Ensure adherence to treasury policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and banking regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury, Banking Operations, Cash Management or a similar area.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and drive process improvements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and banking portals.
• Knowledge of SWIFT connectivity and payment platforms.
• Ability to handle KYC documentation and regulatory compliance processes.
