Associate Software Engineer – Release Engineer

About the role

Veeva Systems is looking for a Release Engineer to join its rapidly growing team in Hyderabad. The role involves writing, releasing, and supporting cloud‑based applications that help life‑sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering and Technical Operations to support the existing release and change management process.
• Execute and manage deployment activities for each sprint.
• Use CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA on a daily basis.
• Communicate status and collaborate with onshore managers and team leads.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in software release engineering or test automation.
• Basic knowledge of Java and object‑oriented methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development, preferably in an onshore/offshore model.
• Understanding of Linux and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Groovy) and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Exposure to version‑control systems, especially Git.
• Awareness of containerization tools such as Docker or cloud platforms like AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence.
