Associate SOC Cyber as a Service – Advisory (Kolkata)

About the role

PwC is looking for an Associate to join its Cyber as a Service Advisory team in Kolkata. You will work across multiple security domains, providing proactive protection for client systems and data. The role combines threat monitoring, incident handling and the development of security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Round‑the‑clock threat monitoring, detection and analysis of suspicious activity.
• Alert triage, incident validation, prioritisation and escalation according to SOPs.
• Incident response, post‑incident analysis and forensic artefact preservation.
• Maintain and improve incident management policies, aiming to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
• Report security incidents to stakeholders and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in SOC, incident management, threat detection, vulnerability management or related fields.
• B.Tech/MCA/MBA with an IT background or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or Computer Science.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified SOC Analyst, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or equivalent.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SOC platforms and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Threat hunting, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Automation and asset integration for security operations.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and incident response playbooks.
• Strong analytical skills for security alert triage.
