Associate Scientific Editor (iScience)

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Scientific Editor to join the iScience editorial team. The role involves managing submissions, coordinating peer review, and engaging with the scientific community across computer science, engineering, and data science disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on manuscripts in computer science, electrical engineering, data science, machine learning and related fields.
• Oversee the peer‑review process and deliver outstanding author service.
• Build relationships with researchers, attend conferences, and recruit high‑quality papers.
• Contribute to journal strategy, development and broader Cell Press initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Information Science or a related field.
• Research experience with a record of peer‑reviewed publications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work independently and in a global team.
