Associate Professor / Professor – BCA & MCA Programs

About the role

The School of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University seeks an experienced academic leader to teach and mentor students in its BCA and MCA programmes. The role combines high‑quality classroom delivery, research supervision, curriculum innovation and active industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate (BCA) and postgraduate (MCA) courses, prepare lecture and lab materials, and assess student performance.
• Conduct and publish research in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and Software Engineering.
• Guide student projects, dissertations and research initiatives; apply for research grants and consultancy work.
• Contribute to curriculum design, develop value‑added and certification courses, and support accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA).
• Establish industry partnerships, organise internships, guest lectures, workshops and placement activities.
• Participate in departmental committees, admissions, examinations, academic audits and other administrative duties.

Required profile

• Mandatory Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree (MCA/M.Tech./M.Sc. Computer Science or equivalent) with a consistently strong academic record.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching and research experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated record of publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals.
