Associate Professor – Modern Computer Architecture

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Professor to teach Modern Computer Architecture, bringing real‑world VLSI design experience to the classroom. The role involves delivering lectures, supervising labs, and shaping curriculum at the intersection of digital logic and hardware systems.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Computer Architecture covering instruction sets, pipelining, memory systems, and microprocessor implementation.
• Guide students through lab simulations and RTL projects, including datapaths, control units, and cache design.
• Design and evaluate lab work, assessments, and hands‑on projects that simulate industry applications.
• Mentor students in academic and professional development and continuously update course content to reflect industry trends.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry mentors, and curriculum designers, and host workshops and design challenges.

Required profile

• M.Tech or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in processor subsystems, SoC integration, RTL design for custom compute blocks, or architecture‑level VLSI work.
• Demonstrated interest and ability in teaching and mentoring students.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer architecture topics: instruction sets, microprocessors, memory hierarchy, pipelining, cache systems.
• Proficiency with VLSI design tools such as Cadence, ModelSim, Synopsys, Xilinx, Mentor Graphics.
• Hands‑on experience with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL) and scripting languages (Tcl, Shell, Python).
• Understanding of CMOS circuits, ASIC/FPGA flow, timing analysis, and layout.
