Associate Professor – Computer Applications (MCA/BCA)

About the role

The University seeks an experienced academic leader to join the School of Computer Applications as an Associate Professor or Professor. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, guiding research, and contributing to curriculum development in line with UGC regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver BCA, MCA and related courses, ensuring up‑to‑date content and pedagogical excellence.
• Design, review and update curricula based on industry trends and academic standards.
• Supervise student projects, internships, dissertations and PhD candidates.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in indexed journals (Scopus, SCI, UGC‑CARE) and secure research grants.
• Participate in academic administration, committees, accreditation activities and faculty development programmes.
• Organise workshops, faculty development programmes and academic events.
• Foster industry collaborations, consultancy projects and knowledge‑transfer initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, IT or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree with at least 55 % marks.
• 8–15 years of teaching and/or research experience in higher education.
• Minimum 7–10 peer‑reviewed publications in UGC‑listed or indexed journals.
• Experience supervising research scholars and guiding doctoral candidates.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain research funding, patents or industry projects (advantageous).
