Associate Manager – Taxation

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our finance team in Mumbai as an Associate Manager – Taxation. The role involves managing both indirect and direct tax compliance in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end GST compliance, including filing GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9 and reconciling GST with the books of accounts.
• Manage GST input tax credit reconciliation and resolve mismatches.
• Liaise with tax consultants and authorities for assessments, notices and audits.
• Ensure accurate TDS deductions, deposits and filing of quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q).
• Issue and reconcile Form 16/16A, handle TDS notices and queries.
• Support advance tax computation and corporate tax filings.
• Prepare tax trackers, reconciliation sheets and compliance calendars using advanced Excel.
• Build dashboards to monitor tax liabilities and filing timelines.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience in taxation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GST and TDS regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with stakeholders and auditors.
• Prior experience in fintech, BFSI or high‑growth startup environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with tax audits, transfer pricing or direct tax assessments.
• Understanding of Ind AS or IFRS reporting standards.
