Associate Manager – Data Acquisition & Quality

About the role

The Associate Manager will lead the acquisition, validation and quality assurance of US retailer data, ensuring clean and reliable data for client insights. This role bridges local market conditions with NielsenIQ’s global operations, working closely with Retail Services, retailers, Data Science and Output teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute US retailer data acquisition, validation and problem‑solving activities.
• Manage a team to deliver high‑quality production data on time.
• Lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Define, document and monitor process execution, updating documentation and tracking exceptions.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions using R, Python or Excel macros.
• Explore advanced techniques such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to enhance data quality.
• Maintain clear communication with on‑shore partners and address client queries efficiently.

• Proven experience managing a data delivery or analytics team.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to document processes and drive continuous improvement.
