Associate Legal Counsel (India)

About the role

Amgen is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join its India legal team. Reporting to the Head of Law, you will help shape Amgen India's legal framework by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements while ensuring compliance with local laws and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor contracts and NDAs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal procedures, and industry codes.
• Prepare and update employment contracts, offer letters, and internal employee policies.
• Provide proactive legal support to cross‑functional teams including HR, Sourcing, Compliance, Finance, Medical and Technology.
• Maintain corporate governance standards and coordinate with Amgen’s global Law Department of over 150 attorneys.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Familiarity with Indian labor law and regulatory obligations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global and local stakeholders.
