Associate – Internal Audit Services (Advisory)

About the role

PwC is looking for an Associate to join its Internal Audit Services team in Mumbai. You will work within the Advisory line of service, helping clients design, transform and deliver end‑to‑end internal audit solutions across industries.

Key responsibilities

• Apply internal audit and process‑audit methodologies to assess controls, risks and governance frameworks.
• Support Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and IFC review engagements, including testing of preventive, detective and anti‑fraud controls.
• Analyse processes, sub‑processes and activities to map relationships and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional experts in cyber, forensics and compliance to deliver integrated risk solutions.
• Utilise AI‑enabled risk technology and other delivery models to enhance audit effectiveness.

Required profile

• Experience or academic exposure to internal audit or process‑audit concepts and methodology.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks (preventive, detective, risk assessment, anti‑fraud).
• Familiarity with SOX/IFC review requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control testing.
