Associate – Internal Audit Services – Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking an Associate to join its Internal Audit Services Advisory team in Pune. The role supports the delivery of end‑to‑end internal audit solutions, helping clients improve governance, risk management and control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and transforming internal audit functions for clients across industries.
• Participate in co‑sourcing, outsourcing and managed service engagements, leveraging AI and risk‑technology tools.
• Conduct internal and process audits, evaluate compliance with regulations and assess governance frameworks.
• Perform Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and internal control reviews, including preventive, detective and anti‑fraud controls.
• Collaborate with cyber, forensics and compliance specialists to address a full spectrum of risks.

Required profile

• Experience with internal audit or process audit concepts and methodologies.
• Understanding of processes, sub‑processes and their inter‑relationships.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control concepts.
